The Travel Class Business is one of the fastest growing providers of school residential and day activity centres, predominantly to primary schools. Operating a total of 16 centres across the UK, the centres provide a great value proposition to schools, and can be tailored to individual requirements.
The purpose of the NVQ Manager position is to deliver a training, assessment and verification programme that enables learners to become qualified in an efficient manner and meets the business targets.
Main Responsibilities:
· To deliver a training and assessment programme that meets the quality standards and frameworks required by the relevant apprentice governing bodies and includes the specific JCA skills.
· To ensure that programme delivery meets the requirements of the Common Inspection Framework as used by Ofsted
· To comply with JAB guidance on internal verification of NVQs.
· To ensure that all documentation and learner data for each learner is completed and collated at the required time e.g. monthly completion of learning aims.
· Work closely with the TUI Accredited Programmes team to ensure funding is maximized.
· Work closely with the finance team to implement effective and accurate reporting.
· Provide management information on progress e.g. achievement rates, funding obtained
· To meet company targets on achievement rates.
· Monitor and evaluate all areas of the programme to continuously improve quality and effectiveness.
· Manage a team of assessors and an administrator - monitoring performance, training and developing.
· To design, develop and deliver training courses to meet programme requirements
· To liaise with external agencies as required
· To support recruitment of apprentices To manage and monitor the annual budget
Role Requirements:
· Assessor and verifier Qualification
· Driving licence
· Experience of the outdoor activity industry
· Experience of working with large numbers of children
· Experience of leading an operational team and demonstrates high levels of leadership skills
· Ability to present and deliver training
· Planned and organised
· Knowledge of apprentice programmes and requirements
